Lady A Postpones 2022 Tour For ‘Journey To Sobriety’ Here’s What Happened

Dates for the country dynamic group Lady A’s 2022 Request Line Tour have been pushed back to the following year. The tour was scheduled to launch with two performances at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on August 13 and 14.

The infamous “Need You Now” band reportedly postponed their tours, and it was primarily done because one of their group members, Charles Kelley, recently started off his journey on being sober. The tour was pretty awaited and fans all around the world were hyped, but the group announced their decision and stated, “Being on the road with our fans is our greatest joy, so it was a hard but important decision to make….We are a band, but more importantly… we’re family. We’re proud to say that Charles has embarked on a journey to sobriety,” which honestly did not fail to win hearts.

That wasn’t it, they added, “So, right now in order to be the healthiest, strongest and most creative band we can be, Lady A will take the time with the support of our families and team of professionals to walk through this together. It’s early on this road, but we are determined to do what will best set us up for many more years together. We’re grateful for your patience.”

With that, Lady A wrote the whole thing off with something their fans can look forward to, “We’re looking forward to making 2023 our best year yet! With love.”

In rebuttal to the Black Lives Matter movement, the group previously recognised as Lady Antebellum declared they were changing their title to that of the blues singer in 2020. They afterward filed a lawsuit against the recording artist over their sharable nickname, requesting a statement that they aren’t encroaching on a brand name by using the identity.
