Happy Birthday Mario Balotelli: Unknown Facts About ‘Football’s Super Mario’

Wishing ​Mario Balotelli a very happy birthday. Those who are not aware of Mario, let us tell you some unknown facts about this Italian powerhouse. He is widely known as an international striker. He is the most well-known and talented soccer player from Italy.  If you really want to know more about him keep scrolling- 

Mario was born on August 12, 1990, to Ghanaian parents in Palermo. Due to a severe health condition, he had put into foster care. By the time he turned 3,  he moved to Brescia, where he was raised. He stated in an interview – “Brescia is my home,” he explained. “It’s where I will live one day when I stop playing football. When I’m in Brescia, I’m relaxed.” 

This might come as a surprise that his interest in football started as a toddler. Since the age of 5, he was practising his technical abilities for a local parish team. 

His foster parents Francesco and Silvia Balotelli raised him in their home in Brescia.

His foster siblings are brothers Giovanni and Corrado along with his sister Cristina are his foster siblings.

Around 2001, AC Lumezzane noticed his talent and gave him a platform to start his career.  In 2006, he made his senior debut against Padova at the age of 15

After Lumezzane and before Nice, Balotelli played in Liverpool FC, AC Milan, and Inter Milan Manchester City.  

He is also known by his nickname Super Mario.

Balotelli is also known for his massive social media presence on platforms like Facebook and Twitter with millions of fans.

Mario has made around 33 appearances representing Italy’s national team between 2010 and 2016. Out of which he scored 13 goals.

In 2012, Balotelli appeared in the GQ magazine alongside Tinie Tempah. The magazine called him a best-dressed man in the world.
